Smoky eye makeup will never go out of fashion!
To create a smoky eye look, select 2 shades of brown, or 2 shades of grey. The base colour should be a medium shade. The shadow colour should be a dark shade.
Some smoky brown examples:
Base: Heavenly Naturals mineral eye shadow in Sun or Soulful, or FaceFront Paint Me Perfect in Bitter Bark
Shadow: Heavenly Naturals mineral eye shadow in Chocolate Brown or Kitten
Some smoky grey examples:
Base: Heavenly Naturals mineral eye shadow in Tinsel or FaceFront Paint Me Perfect in Glam Star
Shadow: Heavenly Naturals mineral eye shadow in Dream Girl, or FaceFront Paint Me Perfect in Heroic
Step One: Apply a small amount of eye shadow primer to your lid. We use FaceFront Survival Paint.
Step Two: Using your Sigma SS239 or SS252 brush, apply the base colour right across the lid from the inner corner to the outer corner and up above the crease.
Step Three: Using your Sigma SS252 brush apply the shadow colour onto the outer quarter of the lid. Blend this colour out to the brow bone, along the crease, and a small amount under the lower lash line.
Step Four: Use a neutral highlight colour such as FaceFront Paint Me Perfect eye pigment in Skinny Dipper. Apply with your Sigma SS252 or SS275 brush, just below the eye brow. Blend in to the existing colour with a clean Sigma SS275 brush.
Step Five: Use a Sigma SS209 brush with a very small amount of Heavenly Naturals mineral eye shadow in Emo (matte black eyeshadoe), or use Coastal Scents gel liner in True Black. Make a thin line across your upper lash line from the inner corner to the outer corner.
Step Six: Line your lower water line with Coastal Scents gel liner in True Black using your Sigma SS209 brush.
Finally: Add your favorite mascara to finish it off!
